# Introduction
Les natures fiscales sont utilisées pour simplifier la gestion de la taxe sur la valeur ajoutée (TVA) appliquée aux différentes pièces comptables : factures, avoirs, factures d'achat, etc.
Elles permettent :
* d'utiliser ces pièces de manière plus cohérente,
* de faciliter la comptabilité d'une entreprise qui traite plusieurs types de TVA,
* en particulier pour les entreprises réalisant à la fois des importations dans la zone européenne et des transactions avec des pays situés en dehors de l'Union européenne (UE).
Elles aident également à mieux identifier, dans Simax, des situations spécifiques comme :
* les TVA auto-liquidées,
* les non assujettis.
