# Subcontracted product: , manufacturing operation

This means that the raw materials are sent to the subcontractor, who can then start producing the cream.

In the supplier order list, select the supplier order and click **\[\[Receive]]**.

Then **\[\[Confirm reception]]**. And when you go to the list of MOs, you will see that the status of the Cream sub-OF is now **99 Received**, **in stock,** and that of Yogurt in pots will be **40 Supplied,** because the cream has been received.

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2FkwU8O0kWUT2fkkwieMDB%2FCapture%20d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%202026-02-04%20155607.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=e7c1608f-d3d5-4c2e-ac2a-cd028fa0c029" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

It is now possible to exit components for yogurt in pots.

To do this, select the main MO (yogurt in pots) and click on **\[\[Components exit]]** so that MYCOMPANY can manufacture yogurt in pots.

After that, you can reselect the main MO and click on **\[\[Components exit]]** to now exit **the Cream**.

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2FlKuZ6zuQSy9yXtsIeDZS%2FCapture%20d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%202026-02-04%20170934.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=79521d62-6a80-46f5-bbfd-5d35ace5368a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Always choose who will take it out.

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2F4nVj2Q2qezpeBpe1PnjU%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=aba54ab4-69d0-41e5-848c-6801fb86d184" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Then **Validate.**

### Manufacturing operations

A manufacturing operation is a specific production step required to produce a finished product.

Now that all the necessary components have been supplied, **Aloé Vera**, an employee at **MASOCIETE**, can start the process of making yogurt in pots.

Once the potting is complete, she records the end of the operation in the system and then proceeds to **receive the production**. This action automatically updates the status of the initial order from customer **EK France**, which then changes to **70 – Order to be prepared.**

**Implementation**

To start the manufacturing operation, go to **Production > operation start.**

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2FMNmmb6b1GJzQor4GeWyw%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1d771b65-a5c2-471f-8e02-de58f5a2c84e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Select the **Operator\*, the Production Order** to which it is associated, and the rest will be filled in automatically.

**\[\[Save]]**, and the operator will get to work.

When the operation is complete, simply go to **Production > operation End**, and you can create the time entry for the completed operation by entering the quantity manufactured, and **|Completed|** will be automatically checked.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doc.simax.fr/documentation-simax-anglais/functional/production/subcontracting/subcontracted-product-manufacturing-operation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
