# Customers, Contacts, and Establishments

## Context

In order to optimize the follow-up of interactions, purchases, and the commercial, industrial, or professional activities of partner companies, you plan to systematically list them in your database according to their price category. You register CreaCo as a professional and designate Mr. Robert VALEMENT as the contact person responsible for managing exchanges.

Once this is registered, you can easily view customers located in the geographical surroundings of your CreaCo professional customer.

This approach also includes customers who purchase your products or services for personal use, meaning particular customers such as Mrs. Viviane GRELIER.

Furthermore, if your company expands by opening a second establishment for a new production unit, it will have its own SIRET number, ensuring distinction while remaining affiliated with the original company.

## Implementation in Simax&#x20;

### Creating a professional customer&#x20;

To create a customer, follow **CRM > Customer > Customers**, then click **\[\[New]]**.

And first choose **Professional customer.**

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2FiTa2E4XW7HDkk7dc1NOL%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=2e8385e7-bdce-49db-bf57-86467e9179d8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Then fill in the customer information.

**Customer type:** Professionnal

**\[Address]**

**\[\[Close customer]]** allows you to access customers located in the geographical surroundings of the professional customer when the customer is registered.

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2FuWRHhXjy0mrHV5b3Oyqe%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9a580282-c051-4989-981c-6f1215a3acf4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Create a particular customer&#x20;

To create a particular client, follow the same steps as for creating a professional, but select **Particular customer** this time.

Enter customer information and contact details in **\[General]** and **\[Address]**.

<figure><img src="https://3774355255-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzEcRYDc0Yd5qgDsaJt5p%2Fuploads%2FPpnxURDcuIlBdApdWboK%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f57f898d-1031-4743-a3ed-adc4813623d1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
For a particular customer, the date of birth can be an interesting piece of information, especially for special birthday offers, etc.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: A particular customer is already a contact, so they can also be a contact for a professional customer.

{% endhint %}

### Establishment

Follow the same steps to create a customer, but now choose **Establishment**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doc.simax.fr/documentation-simax-anglais/functional/crm/customers-contacts-and-establishments.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
