Chart of accounts
In SIMAX, accounting management is organized around several basic files, including the various chart of accounts.
We can access these plans via Accounting > Basic Files.
There are three main types of chart of accounts in SIMAX:
General chart of accounts:
To access it, go to Accounting > Basic files > General Chart of accounts.

It facilitates research with filters that allow you to filter by class or account type.
We can use the accounts in this plan to group customer or supplier auxiliary accounts under a single general account.
In multi-company mode, accounts can be divided by company of the group. It is also possible not to specify the group company, in which case each company can use this account for all accounting transactions.
When entering a general account, we can specify the budget line we want to use.
We can also set the RAN (Report Again) Mode for closing a fiscal year:
Detailed report: Unallocated entries are carried forward to the following year, allowing detailed information about their origin to be retained.
Balance reporting: Only the balance is carried over to the following year.
Other options are available when configuring a general account, such as specifying whether the balance must always be positive when printing SIG/CDRs, invalidating an account, or choosing a analytical distribution in the case of analytical accounting.
The list of all accounts is accessible in this plan.
Auxiliary chart of accounts:
It group together all auxiliary accounts, meaning accounts for customers and suppliers. To access it, go to Accounting > Basic Files > Auxiliary Chart of Accounts.

As with general accounts, auxiliary accounts can belong to a specific company of the group within a multi-company environment. If no company is specified, the account can be used by all companies.
We can filter the auxiliary chart of accounts by account type, grouping account, or budget line.
It is possible to create as many auxiliary accounts as we wish.
When creating an auxiliary account, we can indicate whether it is a customer or a supplier.
We can also set the RAN Mode (detailed report or balance report) and check whether a due date is mandatory.
The group is selected automatically based on the account class.
Analytical chart of accounts:
It allows accounting to be analyzed by distinct subsets of the company.
To access it, go to Accounting > Basic Files > Analytical Chart of Accounts. You can access:
List analytical code

List analytic axe

Analytical distribution

The entry of analytical entries is subject to the analytical plan.
In summary, SIMAX offers structured management of general, auxiliary, and analytical accounting plans, allowing for configuration tailored to your organization, particularly in multi-company mode, and facilitating the analysis and monitoring of your accounting. The configuration of these plans is essential for the proper functioning of the accounting module and its integration with other modules.
